Selena Gomez is an internationally famous actress and singer. She is the star of Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place is one of her biggest success shows. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Her birth date was July 22, 1992, on the 22nd of July in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were the parents of Selena. The mother of Selena's, Amanda Cornett, was sixteen years old at the time Selena was born. Her first professional stage show job at the age of nine when she played Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. This meant she was among many children to have played with Barney, the infamous Pink Dinosaur, an anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena was a part of the cast for a number of seasons, including seasons 7 and 8,, from 2001 through 2003. Selena was not the only actor to appear in Barney and his Friends in this time period. Demi Loveto also worked in the series. Selena Gomez tried out for many roles after leaving Barney and his Friends, but was not successful. There was a small role as a character in Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003, and another part in the film as Julie on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire.
